GOLF DAY - 1st April 2010 at Rusper GC
Roy Johns is organizing the SDCC Spring Golf Day at Rusper again, but is off to Singapore until the end of March! Therefore in the meantime can all those interested please contact Andy Page, (Andrew.Page@dhpuk.co.uk), to confirm numbers. The cost will be £35 which will include 9 holes in the morning, 18 in the afternoon and a meal afterwards.

After back to back promotions from the Fuller's League to the Surrey Championship in 2007 and 2008, Stoke's 1st XI secured Championship status in their debut season. Our 2nd XI were also promoted to the Championship for 2009 and narrowly missed out on promotion on the last day. Both XIs will have high hopes of improving their League positions in 2010.
Stoke also entered the Surrey Championsip 20:20 competition for the first time in 2009, and won five rounds against clubs from higher divisions to win through THE FINAL before losing to a Premiership side who qualified for the Sky Sports televised stages.
Stoke also enter the Surrey Trust League (Under 21 Academy) In 2007 & 2008 we reached the semi-finals having beaten seven higher ranked Surrey Championship sides. In 2009, our squad benefited from a strong round of zonal group fixtures and played better adult League cricket as a result.
We run an additional Sunday XI that contains a package of long-standing friendly fixtures. These games provide structured cricket for those unfortunate not to be selected, (or do not wish to be selected), for the League sides; as well as further integration for our colts into senior cricket. We also run Development XI fixtures to satisfy the ever increasing demand of colts parents to see their children play in senior matches.
Our Women's XI opened their 2009 season in the Womens Cricket Southern League by posting 406 for 3 in 40 overs including a 300 partnership. The season ended with vistory in the Surrey Trust League 20:20 competition. Our female playing membership contains a number of the Surrey Emerging Players' Squad, but we are always on the lookout for new players of all abilities to bolster numbers. Why not give us a call?
